Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ChannelGuard ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all users, including content creators, businesses, and visitors.

2. Description of Service

ChannelGuard provides a security scanning service designed for content creators to:

• Scan sponsorship emails for malware and phishing threats
• Analyze file attachments for malicious content
• Check URLs against known threat databases
• Receive security verdicts and recommendations

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for all activities under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• You may not share your account with third parties
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service

4. Subscription and Payments

4.1 Pricing Plans

We offer multiple subscription tiers (Starter, Pro, Business) with different features and scan limits. Current pricing is available on our Pricing page.

4.2 Billing

• Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
• Payments are processed securely by Razorpay
• Prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and include applicable taxes
• You authorize us to charge your payment method automatically

4.3 Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial with Starter plan features. No payment is required during the trial period. One trial per user/email address.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

5.1 Cancellation

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from Account Settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• You retain access to paid features until the period ends

5.2 Refunds

Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase if you have used fewer than 5 scans. Contact support@channelguard.in for refund requests. Infrastructure failures that prevent scan completion are automatically credited to your account.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use ChannelGuard to:

• Upload or scan content you do not have rights to
• Distribute malware or engage in cyber attacks
• Bypass rate limits or abuse the service
• Reverse engineer or exploit vulnerabilities
• Resell or redistribute the service without authorization
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

7. Service Limitations

• Scan results are provided "as-is" without warranty
• We may update detection algorithms without notice
• Service availability is subject to maintenance windows
• File size and scan quota limits apply per subscription tier

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by ChannelGuard and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you submit for scanning.

You grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the scanning service. This license terminates when your content is deleted.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• ChannelGuard is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to fees paid in the 12 months prior to the claim
• We are not responsible for damages resulting from undetected threats
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ChannelGuard, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Non-payment of subscription fees
• Fraudulent or abusive behavior
• Request from law enforcement

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Data deletion follows our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India. For users in the EU, local consumer protection laws may apply in addition.
